Isaya Mondori (Japan, 1947) is choreographer and founder of Dadadadan Tenko. Mondori started his dance career in 1966 as an apprentice to a master in traditional Japanese dance. From the eighties he started combining dance with the metier of choreographer and director. He gave a new impulse to his creative and artistic development by founding Dadadadan Tenko in 1987. With a unique combination of dance, music and theatre Mondori developed a very personal style in which tradition and modernism take equal place. He has received several prizes for his work.
