Isaya Mondori

Isaya Mondori was born in 1948 in Hiroshima as the third son in a family with five children. He was extremely interested in Japanese art and culture but found no starting point for this in daily life. As a teenager he played the guitar and, at a place of entertainment at a health resort, he was approached by a master of Japanese dance from Osaka. In 1966 he joined the Japanese Dance Academy under the supervision of this master. This launched his career as a dancer.
